Tinnitus (Ringing in the Ears)
When the world is quiet, but your ears aren’t — we can help.
Service Description
Tinnitus is the perception of sound in one or both ears when no external sound is present. It may feel like ringing, buzzing, humming, hissing, roaring, or clicking. For some, tinnitus comes and goes, while for others, it may be constant and disruptive. In severe cases, it can affect sleep, concentration, emotional well-being, and quality of life. What Causes Tinnitus? Tinnitus is not a disease but a symptom of an underlying issue. Common causes include: Prolonged noise exposure – loud music, machinery, or workplace noise. Middle ear conditions – infections, fluid buildup, or vascular tumors. Ear infections or blockages – wax buildup, ear canal irritation, or structural issues. Certain medications – especially ototoxic drugs that affect the ear’s nerves. Head or neck injuries – which may affect the auditory pathways. When to Seek Help If tinnitus persists for more than a few days, worsens, or is accompanied by hearing loss, dizziness, or ear pain, it’s important to see an ENT specialist.
